Do gig riders need a DBS check?
Most takeaway and quick-commerce platforms ask for a Basic DBS check before you can go online. Rules differ by app and by whether you cycle, mopeds or drive a car — always read the onboarding checklist for your city.
This is different from Uber / private hire licensing, which sits under council PHV rules and normally needs Enhanced via the licensing authority.

Car-based gig work vs private hire
